Celebrity Double Date
We like to pass judgment on the celebrity relationships we hear about in the news. Well . . okay. . .in People Magazine. A pathetic waste of time, we know - but hey, who better than us to decide what really broke up Brad and Jennifer?
Alright, alright - so there are lots of people better qualified than we are. We're still willing to wade into the celebrity muck and offer our not-so-expert opinions. See, Eric is pretty sure that Jennifer Aniston was too needy and also unwilling to start a family while her career was so hot. Jill's not so sure - she thinks Angelina was a temptress and Brad was too eager for adventure.
Sadly, we have spent far too much time worrying about this. Time that would have been much better spent cleaning the house. Or at the very least, time that could have been spent figuring out what happened to Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz. Or Carmen and Dave. Or even Nicole and DJ AM, for God's sake!
Sometimes, as we are playing amateur couples' therapists to the stars, we might also reflect on what celebrity would make a good partner for each other. For example, Jill might suggest that Jennifer Garner would make a good spouse for Eric. She seems easy-going, down-to-earth, one of the guys. Eric isn't so sure about that. He seems to think that Penelope Cruz would be a better pick.
[Eyes Rolling] Right-o. Because Eric and Penelope have so much in common. Why not just say Jessica Alba and get it over with? The Penelope Cruz pick has nothing to do with spiritual compatibility.
On the flip side, Eric is of the opinion that Liam Neeson would be a great choice for Jill.
Liam Neeson? For real? The guy from Schindler's List? Whateverrrr. I mean it's very flattering that Eric has chosen a thespian of such quality and refinement - but really, Brad Pitt will do fine. Just fine. Shooting too high, you say? Then let's just go with Vince Vaughn.
So do you think we're completely pathetic?
Liar. You do it too. So fess up, what is your celebrity double date? And while you're at it, what did break up Cameron and Justin?

11 Say it:
NOT a vince Vaughn Fan at all. Really? You think he's cute?
Oh I'm sorry, you can't have Brad cause he's ALL MINE!!!!!! So BACK OFF!
I never got Cameron and Justin to tell you the truth, he seemed to young and immature for her.
I didn't get Brad and Jennifer either. She just didn't seem like she was enough in the limelite to be with Brad. Angelina is a much better choice for him.....although I think the best choice is ME!
Jill, give me a call. I'm interested.
justin is definitely a family man. i'm not sure cameron wants to get married and have babies. i know justin does. not sure what broke them up though.
Brad would have been stupid not to leave Jennifer for Angelina.
What?! No mention of Nick and Jessica? I'll take Nick - athletic, down to earth, and, oh yeah, HOT! Since no one has mentioned him yet, I'll take him. Dibs!
I wouldn't kick Brad out of bed, either.
Christian Bale is on my "list."
My bed is chock-full of people I wouldn't kick out of bed (including Angelina, he he he).
Jenn, have you never seen Swingers? What's not to like!
Liam, unless you know Brad, I'm taken.
Jennster, I thought it was just Cameron's bad dye job.
Anonymous, I've come around on Angelina too.
Lindsay, just today I was thinking that Nick seems like a pretty good boyfriend to Vanessa Manillo. I like them as a couple much better than Nick and Jessica.
I could probably be doing something better with myself at 11:15 on Saturday night, couldn't I?
Idea Man said from day one that Jennifer was not as attractive as Brad and they would never last. When Brad went for Angelina he said it only made sense because she was just as pretty as Brad.
Whatever.
I'm just surprised Justin and Cameron lasted as long as they did.
Okay, so every guy around the block totally high-fives Brad for dumping Jen for Ang-'ho'-lina...and while, yeah, she's not bad on the eyes I've just got to say "typical" about her and the whole actors can't stay together for very long simply bc of their jobs. C'mon, once you start role-playing (I mean rehearsing) for parts in a movie then ya can't break free of your character - especially when the home fires aren't burning that hot in the first place. I'm sure Jen and Brad were already going thru their own issues but (in my humble opinion) they seemed to be the golden couple of Hollywood, Ken & Barbie...they just fit in an odd sort of way. *sigh* Brad's hot -yeah I'd still do him- but it just irked me each time he and Angelina denied anything going on until AFTER their movie came out.
So, moving on...don't care too much about Justin and Cameron; I love that Nick is with Vanessa bc, personally, I never thought Jessica S. was all that; and...my tall, dark and handsomes are: Liam Neeson, Matthew McConaughey, and Eric Bana. YUM-E!!!
Did Justin and Cameron ever have any chemistry between them to begin with? I just never found them very interesting and wasn't really surprised that it fizzled out.
If you give Eric to Jennifer Garner, however, I'll be happy to help Ben through his broken heart...
mama's moon, I think Hollywood couples just behave the way many other couples do. It is just that we hear about it. Also, I think more people that are unhappy in their marriages would move on instead of being miserable if they thought society would be okay with it. As a society, generally, we are okay with this for our celebrities. And why not?
